Jill + Jason Engagement

So of course it decided to rain on our scheduled shoot. But, lucky for us, it decided to clear up and we were able to have a fun, fabulous shoot! Kind of ironic that Jill wanted to use umbrellas for a prop – we needed them! We just ignored the swampy, humid weather!

Ryan and I went to the Botanical Gardens the night before for the weekly music festival. On the way, I spotted this fabulous heart wall! It was meant to be and was the perfect spot for an engagement session! We then ended up at the Gardens to capture some more great images of this couple in love.

I hope you both enjoy the photos! We can't wait to be a part of your BIG day.

The Ray Family

How can you not fall in love with this adorable family?! We had a lot of fun gadding about in Webster Groves for our session! We even avoided the rain and the heat. Baby Katherine slept most of the time, but big brother Wilson seemed to enjoy himself! I certainly did. Hope you enjoy the photos!

Two Sisters – Riley and Sydney!

These two gals just happen to be my cute, little nieces. Well, officially in October! I was really nervous for this shoot for many reasons. A. They already knew me and I thought they would not take direction from me. B. It was extremely bright outside. The cool location happened to be the back of a scary restaurant.

I ended up having so much fun with them and I think they did too! I thought they did wonderful, and as a little treat I gave them two large lollipops. They dug right in, and the next thing I know, they were both BLUE! Especially Sydney who actually bit into hers and was not letting go of it! I love her little face in the photo below. Thanks mom for working with me and I'm so happy you got the blue out of their sweet, little outfits.

Enjoy the photos! The first one on the chairs, is my a b s o l u t e favorite photo of the year!

Christa + JP Engagement in St. Louis!

Okay, I'm so excited I don't know where to start on this post. Ryan and I had such a fantastic time photographing this couple! Christa and John Paul (aka JP) have such beautiful chemistry and these photographs show it! Not only were they great at taking direction, they hardly needed any. I love being behind the camera, and I know it is super hard to be on the other end. Great job guys! We are so excited you have given us the honor to shoot your BIG day. Congrats!

Enjoy the photos!

Caroline and Natalie have some backyard fun!

Everything big sister does, little sister does too!

I'm so in love with these two little ones! Caroline is 4 and Natalie is 2, and they are two complete hams! I think Natalie is the smartest 2 year old I have ever met. It is the sweetest thing to hear her sing - 'The Farmer in the dale!'

We had a lot of fun running around, and I did my best to capture their sweet and funny personalities! Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.

Claire or Brady? Renee's Maternity Shoot!

Two maternity shoots back to back. That's a first! I love it!

Renee makes being pregnant look so easy! I think I would like to try it. Just kidding... Not just yet. Anyways! Renee is a graphic designer, with a creative eye and she wanted beautiful, organic images to document this special time in her life. And I believe we got just that! I even love that the clouds decided to join us that day. Really adds for some dramatic images! And I don't even have to do a composite shot!

We did a little country and a little city - just what I love! *Note to self: MUST bring bug spray to the next shoot and prepare for ridiculously hot conditions.

Thanks to hubby Jeff for being my assistant and for doing such a great job during the entire shoot! I hope you both love the photos as much as I do. Can't wait for the little one in July.

Christy, Burt Reynolds and the soon-to-be!

I can't imagine it's an easy thing being pregnant. But Christy makes it look incredibly easy and fun! Even though she really didn't want to do this shoot, she knew she would regret it if she didn't. And I'm so happy she did! We all had fun, even Burt Reynolds (her dog!)

Christy - I hope you are glad we documented your big o belly! You look great to me. I can't wait to photograph the little one in July. Yeah!
